Organ and tissue donation is deeply personal to me because at just 40 years old, I was given the extraordinary gift of a double lung transplant - and with it a second chance at life. I've been given the opportunity not only to live, but truly thrive again: to breathe freely, experience a quality of life I once feared I would never have, and look forward to more years, more memories and more moments with the people I love.

I will forever be grateful to my donor and their family. Their incredible generosity gave me something I can never repay - the gift of time, of possibility and a future. Organ donation transforms profound loss into hope, and gives families like mine to keep writing their stories. I am living proof of the difference one decision can make.
