To create your "Gift of 8 Movement" page on the Website, TGLN will collect your name, your email address, your phone number, your postal code (in whole or part) and your community of residence. TGLN collects this personal information in order to manage your "Gift of 8 Movement" page and in order to collect and post geographic information about users of the Website.
TGLN may contact you by email or by telephone in order to:
- ask for permission to feature you in our marketing materials

- notify you if there are problems with your campaign page
You may refuse to provide this personal information, in which case you will not be able to create a campaign page.

Permitted Personal Information
You may not post personal or identifying information about any third party on your campaign page. You may tell your own story, with limitations as outlined in the page creation instructions. If you are telling a story about a third party, you may only in general terms, specify your relationship to the third party (such as loved one, family member, friend) and their connection to donation and transplantation (such as deceased donor, living donor, heart transplant recipient, cornea recipient, waiting for a lung transplant, etc.), with limitations as outlined in the page creation instructions.
TGLN moderates the content on the Website (see our Terms of Use) and information which identifies any third party, explicitly or by other means, will not be approved.
Choosing to Make Page Private
You may choose to limit to whom access to your campaign page may be granted by making it private, meaning it will not be available by searching the BeADonor.ca website. This is your choice. However, because of the sophistication of Internet search engines, TGLN cannot guarantee that others (to whom you have not granted access) will not be able to access your page.
Access to Your Personal Information
As a user of the Website who has provided personal information to TGLN, you can have access to your personal information through your campaign page to correct or update any of your personal information on the Website or to delete the personal information you provided on this Website from our records. You may also contact TGLN's privacy officer at 416-363-4001 to update or correct any personal information that TGLN may have retained about you outside the Website.
Retention of Personal Information
TGLN will retain your personal information for one (1) year after last use of such personal information by TGLN (for example, when your page is removed or terminated), as required by law.
