I was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure at the start of 2020. It all started with a hospital visit where I was found to be severely anemic resulting in blood transfusion to being admitted for a week to discover that my kidneys had given up on me. I have been on hemodialysis since then and soon hope to transition to peritoneal dialysis. While I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would one day need an organ transplant, here I am.
