I believe, at heart, we all want to be useful, honourable and compassionate. We all want to make a difference in the lives of others. Of course, the greatest difference we can make for others is saving lives. We often think that’s the job of heroes and exceptional people, but the reality is that each and every one of us has the ability to save up to eight lives — just by signing up online to become an Ontario organ donor.

I signed up to be an organ donor years ago. But now it’s easier than ever. And it’s more necessary than ever, too. Every three days, somebody in Ontario dies waiting for an organ transplant.
