Organ & tissue donations are very important to me. I became a kidney/pancreas transplant recipient in 2011. I know how much organ donation means and that the results can be life changing. I had been diabetic for twenty-five years and also spent the last few years on dialysis due to kidney failure. Last year because of the selflessness and generosity of my donor and his family, I now have a new life with no more insulin and no more dialysis. I realize the benefits and outcome not just for myself ,but also for people who have had similar success as well. Organ donation cannot be expressed strongly enough. It is extremely important . Everyone and their families need to be aware and informed so they can make the choice to donate and help save lives. One donor can save up to 8 lives.
