As the Health Critic for the New Democratic Party of Ontario and a health provider for 25 years, I have had the privilege to witness the importance of organ and tissue donation. Signing up to be an organ and tissue donor is a simple way to make a huge difference. By registering today, you could someday save the lives of eight others and improve life for even more people. I am proud of the people of my riding for having one of the highest rates of registered donors, and I hope that more will join them. Currently, fewer than 25% of Ontarians are registered, even though about 1,500 people are on waiting lists. I hope that you take a moment to join those who have already registered, and then invite your friends and family to do the same. Together, we can make a difference by giving the gift of life.
