I'm here because of the kindness of a stranger. Without them becoming a donor I would not be here today. Here’s a little story of my past Here’s a run down Leading up to the transplants. I had CHF (congestive heart failure) which led to Dilated cardiomyopathy due to the Norwalk flu which turned viral in 2004 - [ ] A pacemaker 2006 - [ ] A pacemaker/defibrillator (ICD)2009 - [ ] A 3rd lead ICD 2011 - [ ] An LVAD left ventricle assist device (mechanical heart) heart Mate 2 Aug 2016 - [ ] Kidney failure due to contrast given while having a throat infection (kidneys were approx 50% - [ ] leading to a RID (dailyisis line) also Aug 2016 - [ ] A Heart transplant Jan 2017 - [ ] 9 months in hospital total with 2 weeks outpatient due to internal defib discharging quite frequently. - [ ] Continue to have dialysis to clean blood and remove fluid - [ ] Kidney transplant July 2 2020 100% match from my amazing sister. So I’ve had quite the run but because of 2 donors Iam here today to carry on not only my journey but keep theirs alive as well. Mark B
