Pikuach Nefesh, the saving of a life, is the most important of human activities. While we hesitate to imagine the end of our lives, our passing can save lives when we register ourselves for organ donation. Today fewer than 25% of Ontarians, and fewer than 15% in the GTA have registered our consent to be donors; but every three days someone dies in Ontario because the life-saving organ transplant they need is not available. In Ontario 1,500 people are waiting for organ transplants and thousands more are waiting for tissue transplants. 100 new registrants from the Narayever during our 100th year. What a legacy.
