Every three days, an Ontarian dies because the life-saving organ transplant they need is not available. This is a fixable problem. We can make a difference to the 1,500 people in our province waiting for organ transplants, and the thousands more waiting for tissue. Each and every one of us could save up to 8 lives by donating our organs, and improve up to 75 more lives through tissue donation. Science North is committed to doing its part by encouraging Ontarians to register their consent to be donors – it can be done online in two minutes, right from this page. Currently, only one in three Ontarians are registered organ donors. After you register, please #talkto2 other people -- family members, coworkers, friends -- and encourage them to register as well.
