I am working to inform and unite the newest generation of organ donors (a.k.a. real life super heroes!). Now in Ontario, anyone who is 16 or older can register their consent to become an organ and tissue donor online; it's never been easier! I made the decision to register over a year ago, and I would like to encourage you all to do the same. Most of the young people whom I've talked to are completely willing to register themselves as an organ donor, but they don't know where to start. Using this link, registering only takes two minutes with the use of your health card. Even if you believe you're already registered, please use this link to verify so there is no question! Currently, only 30% of Ontarians are registered donors. There are 1500+ people in our province waiting for a life-saving transplant, and every three days, one of these people dies. This doesn't have to happen. One donor alone can save up to eight lives and enhance up to 75 more through tissue donation. Give hope to the waiting recipients and their families.
