As a family physician, I am a strong supporter of organ and tissue donation and it is a very important cause to me. And for the roughly 1,600 Ontarians who are waiting for an organ transplant, it could also be a life-saving one. I have partnered with the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians to promote their South Asian Gift of Life campaign to the Tamil community in Ontario. It's easy to register your consent to become a donor. You can register in about two minutes as long as you have your health card. You can register right here and now, see the link on this page. I've registered and I'd like to encourage all of you to do the same. It's an easy decision today that could, one day, save eight lives and enhance 75 more.
