Did you know that every three days someone dies in Ontario because the life-saving organ transplant they need is not available, yet just over 30% of people in Oakville have registered their consent to be a donor? Currently, 1,500 people in Ontario are waiting for organ transplants and there are thousands more waiting for tissue transplants. Let's help to make a difference and save lives by registering your consent and talking to your family and friends about this important issue. All you need to be able to register is be 16 years old and your current health card. Make sure you speak to your family to ensure your desire to be a donor is respected.
