Team Transplant is a dragon boat team, the majority of which are transplant recipients, but also includes donors, those waiting for a transplant, transplant - related healthcare workers and donor family members. The transplantation bond we share is a strong one! The main goal of the team is to promote organ and tissue donor awareness to the general public by competing in dragon boat festivals in the GTA and beyond. Team Transplant encourages everyone to take some time to educate themselves about organ and tissue donation; to get answers to their questions as to what is involved and to talk openly with their family members and register at beadonor.ca The second chance at life, good health and wellbeing is truly a wonderful gift which is greatly appreciated by all recipients.
