Rich Griffin #1Saves8 Campaign
Rich Griffin was a radio announcer in various markets for more than 28 years, and part of the Rich & Gary morning show on KISS 105.3 in Sudbury, Ontario for more than 14 years. He passed away suddenly of a subarachnoid hemorrhage (cause unknown) on May 23, 2015. He was declared brain dead and his body was kept on life support until May 25 so he could be an organ donor. His heart, lungs, kidneys and liver saved five lives, and his tissues will impact more through future transplants and research. Yours can too...register now! The Rich Griffin #1Saves8 Campaign was founded by his widow Nancy and her friends in the popular radio announcer’s memory. The campaign aims to increase the number of registered organ donors, and to raise money to support Northern Ontario transplant patients and their families. A highlight of the campaign is the annual Rich Griffin #1Saves8 Gala, which happens in May. Visit 1Saves8.ca for more information.
